That is one more reason the practice questions are good. I know some people think that it's cheating, but I really just don't think it is. It's simply another means of preparation I found the paper and pen approach very useful on each exam i've sat. About Answers: If a 'choose one from the following' then write each letter..
Cross out the letter. If a 'choose X: each is a complete solution', then do the same as above If a 'choose X: each is part of the solution' then cross out those that can't work, even when combined with the other options Thanks guys Tigressjanie and Aftertaf some usefull tips in there.
I have been able to get some prep from TestKing and I'm pleased with the content so combined the hours of reading MS books and Exam Crams I've done etc I should have a good go at it next time. In a couple of weeks. Are you guys well on your way to MSCE's then?
Thats my plan. As there is no workstation in the to route I doubt it but i'll take all I can get? It's closer to the exam than is I have both exams and whilst both are easy I have to admit that is better suited for the whole route. I would be careful of relying on Testking material, some of it them are just plain wrong and you don't want to get those wrong answers in your head.
Some of us are now MCSE's. I didnt go the full track on , i started on getting my MCSA Then i upgraded to with the , and finished off the requirements for MCSE. The scope of these exams is very broad especially and IMHO, Microsoft does a good job of testing a candidate's knowledge of diverse topics. The bad news: most people fail either or or both the first time. The good news: which I've passed and which I haven't taken seem to be far less difficult.
Of and I found both of them quite easy, I think the easiest exam was of course then , , , , and then My interpretation , aftertaf? It's true that I failed both and the first time. I passed them both the second time, and I wouldn't say that they were a nightmare by any stretch. Now , that was a nightmare, but again I only failed it the first time. Total PC lockup. Had the vendor reboot with the guidance of Prometric - but the quiz came back with a license error - all my data was gone!
These sims were released too soon. Have not rescheduled yet VeenCNE, It really sucks that your test got screwed up like that, but I don't think it has all that much to do with the simulations. I've heard of this happening to others before the sims were added, and fortunately it's never happened to me.
It isn't sim related. Unfortunately sometimes the pc's used for testing aren't that great. I haven't personally experienced a pc lockup during an exam but I have spoken to others who have.
I do agree that the sims are not exactly upto scratch tho. SimonDavies, I think that Vue at least is making an effort to have higher standards for the PCs used for testing. I actually had a test center reschedule on my last fall because their new PCs had arrived, but they needed to have 17" monitors to certify with Vue and one had not arrived. I don't know about Prometric, but I would imagine that they'd take the same steps to avoid having machines that aren't up to the task.
Passed the about two weeks ago and went on vacation.. This was a challenging test. Having been through about 8 other Novell exams - the simulations were fair except one on setting up the network which is really more of a topic Good Luck. VeenCNE, what do you mean "Common Tasks" on the windows server online docs, were exactly is that at.?? Sat this exam yesterday. Passed with I was a little nervous about this one as it was my first certification exam taken in 4 years.
After reading some of the stories about simulations crashing etc I didn't really know what to expect. All simulations in my exam worked well. They did seem a little kludgy in that they didnt behave in the same way as the real dialog box in the OS.
Still I think they are a good way of testing knowledge. Can't remember specific details. Thanks mate. Only place I can take mine here is a Vue testing centre. They have been pretty good. Got through and with no crashes thusfar. Fingers crossed Unfortunately I took the when I was not feeling well and should have rescheduled so I failed and I felt like I had really studied and did alot of hands on but none the less when you are not feeling well it does interfere.
I have never been good on tests but always better hands on so I felt terrible that I failed but was happy to know I was not alone. Thank you all for your comments and overview of some of the sims I will be going back over all of this as I am taking the tomorrow Thanks for all the helpful info people!
I've failed the twice with a score of both times I failed again : I got a score of again! The test seemed easy enough and I thought I would pass after I had done all the questions, but no dice.
The simulations I got were very easy, mostly setting permissions on shares and advanced NTFS permissions etc. I'm taking it again in 14 days time I know how you feel mate, I failed it three times as well, mine were within 1 or 2 questions of a pass. Do you know what areas you're failing in? Are you doing any self tests Transcender? The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability. I took the test for the first time about 2 hours ago, and passed with I had sims for resetting a users password, setting some IIS settings changing the port number, restricting bandwidth , adding users to a group and changing it from a distribution to a security group.
I was a bit worried that the exam might expect me to know what tab and checkbox to press from memory, so the sims were a pleasnt surprise I was a bit annoyed that the help and support system didn't work in the sim though :P.
They worked well and I didn't have any crashes. I passed! I think the Testking helped quite a bit. Now on to the Man, you guys are scaring me! I though I was ready for this exam and now I'm not so sure. Like many of you, I have never failed a MCP exam. The Flash ones work but now the more complicated ones. I have a copy of Server loaded and I have completed a college class in Server. I also have 4 years of real world administration. Does that make a difference or is this test just that screwy?
I didn't have sims when I took it, but from what I've seen the only problem is not with the difficulty of the sims, but the stability. Good luck! How much of the command line stuff do they cover in the ? Are the questions actually simmed, or is it multiple choice? Hello All, I took the exam today for the first time and failed with a I figure that is about 2 - 3 questions short of ??
It took me just over 2 hours to finish. Anyways I studied really hard for this but it was not enough. I did extremely well in 2 of the categories but failed miserably on the permissions questions and I think that's what put the nail in the coffin for me.
Cant remember Global groups vs. Domain Local groups 5 Command line utilites for administering AD dsadd, etc 6 System Monitor and perfomance logs and alerts and what the diff.
Plus a personal tip from me is to arrive at the testing center and hour before your exam and cram in your car before you go in. Make sure you hit the bathroom first too : Take your time on the the questions and for goodness sake you the dry erase board they give you - It works wonders well it helped me alot at least.
I am going to spend the next week setting up a test lab at my house. I have an extra switch and a few extra computers to setup a domain on.
That should help. Anyhoo good luck to all that go for the exam. You'll get it next time! BTW I forgot to mention that my exam crashed on about question 38!!! Besides, lead4pass. Free exam demo is available. Customer support team is ready to help at any time when required.

All servers in your environment run Windows Server You are creating a network administration strategy for the netowkr support staff who are assigned to the following groups Account Operators Backup Operators Network Configuration Operators Print Operators you need to ensure all network support staff have the abiloty to restart the server To which group should you grant the Shut Down the System right?
I believe Network Confiuration Operators. Nani--congrats on the pass. Can you tell us what Sims you got and if there were any new questions which you did not see on the exam? In Windows Server , Enterprise Edition and Windows Server , Datacenter Edition, Windows Media Services delivers advanced streaming functionality such as multicasting, wireless network The key word is multicast content.
Standard does not support multicasting. So the answer is Enterprise. What do you guys think about the cluster questions with x86 and x64 I believ its install a second network adapter on each of the x64 since you cant mix x64 and x86 in a cluster.
I like the fact we have most of all the new questions i just wish we can get all the answers. Hi every one, i just took the exam today and passed wiz ! May cal it luck or watevr but the choices are mixed up also i think there are some answers which are incorrect. Wat i mean is it needs to b revised. Almost most q are from this dumb, i answered correctly bt Kent I'm sure you are correct with your question.
The comparison sheet I saw states that standard edition only partially supports media services. This was last updated in March ! Does anyone think that it could be Standard edition as it is actually partially supported. I'm sure the question is looking for the edition that supports all features of media services.
Sorry Kent. Guys , now I am in doubt to schedule this test by the end of this week : two 's and one Does anybodoy knows where I can still buy a vaucher with 2nd shoot free???? Q53 answer is B. You need to find out the number of packets that are dropped for a specific virtual IP on the NLB cluster. Enable Network Load Balancing Manager logging. Use the NLB command-line tool. Create a counter log. Correct Answers: B. You are planning the installation of new servers to support Windows Media Services in a Web farm.
Your plan includes multicast content delivery of media to users. You need to choose the minimum edition of Windows Server to support this installation. Which edition should you choose? Windows Server , Web Edition B.
Windows Server , Standard Edition C. Windows Server , Enterprise Edition D. Windows Server , Datacenter Edition. Kent, sorry about the results. Can you give us some feedback. What does But a lot of mc..??? Did you see any questions that were not in this dump? For everyone else in the near future not just for this post but any exam you take please reply with information not just.
We all want to pass but to make it easier on all of us we need to work together. Fail again. So fail again.. My guess is because they say the server is secure so im taken they already have this policy in effect. For those who took the exam can you give us some feedback. Does anyone know why shusshan does not assign any policy on the integrity sim? Surely the secure server policy require security should be assigned after the integrity part has been configured??
What sims did you have? Any feedback would be great and it will help others who are still studying for the exam. I passed today points, but just right! Nearly 10 new questions.. I'm in luck. Moe, kobesu is right about the CA: Standard is the choise. Regarding the cluster nlb it is counter log. Sorry kobesu. There are many questions yet to solve. I failed about 20 days ago and I was thinking to scedule at the end of next week.
Was there any new questions? Big Al from Bosnia and Herzegovina When you do plan on taken the exam again? When did you take it last? Thx Moe you'r the best. I think that I will try it again with this new Q. Hope they will not change a Q so I can nail it. The price went up and there is no 2nd shoot free any more so this "sport" is becoming pretty expensive.
The question said you have an active directory service domain. Did you see any new questions? The link to the screenshot you provided, is that a confirmed answer as I would be inclined to switch the placement of the VPN server and the public web server.
I have just taken the exam in singapore this afternoon and passed with score. All question from moe friend update dumps. Great Help. Moe Friend Another thought mate, I think the VPN server should be on its own allowing the forwarding mail server and the web server to sit in the perimeter network. What do you think? Have you taken the exam yet? Do you know about the 2 sims I was talking about?
Have you ever seen videos for them anywheres. Updated the dump again: Two more questions. Here is the updated dump: Fixed two questions and exam structure. Jon: good point. Reevaluating based on your suggestion, I have modified as follows: Web server: outside network VPN and Forwarding Mail server: perimeter network. Email and file server: internal network. Also, yesterday afternoon I was reading a paper regarding Streaming servers: it comes to my attention that Streaming is only available on Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter editions.
Also, only the latest two support multicasting clustering? That question has to be modified question J Nani: I have counted over 25 new questions. Like moe mentioned, there are still a couple of question that hasn't been included in this dump.
Moe: I saw that question about the security. But, if you need an assestment on security, then MSAT is the choise. But I can't find the question anywhere. Just an FYI for everyone this dump is new, yes you will see questions from other dumps on here. What the purpose of this dump was to take Daves dump from May and update it with the newest questions.
Referring to Exam I Q4 - Can anyone clarify the working. I was thinking that the VPN server should be located in the perimeter network and a port opened on the firewall allowing access to the internal network for authenticated users.
I was under the impression that a perimeter network DMZ is the closest point to the Internet for a company. I cant see how you would need to put an email server and a forwarding email server both in the same place. Maybe I am wrong, can anyone shed any light onto this?
This really helped last week when I took my exam, but unfortunately I failed due to so many similations questions that are not included here. If anyone can assist with those Sims, that will be great.
